Project Description:
Storm Water catchment and retention facility for a new development in Wynnum.
What were the challenges?
It rained during the whole project! To complicate matters further, we also encountered a natural spring after excavation.
Water being constantly in the site pit was therefore a major issue.
How did Terazzo solve these challenges?
We used two pumps operating full time to keep the pit empty and clean and the project on track.
Our program needed to be fluid to spot a break in the forecast and have the team on stand-by, to pour and finish concrete in-between showers of rain.
Project result
Another south-east Queensland commercial concrete construction implemented on time and on budget, despite difficult weather and environmental constraints.
