About the Project
The works comprised formwork, supply, placement, finishing and curing of 200 mm concrete pavement slabs across approximately 3,500 m², ready for frequent heavy-vehicle loading and yard operations.
Challenges We Managed
• Live site logistics: Continuous heavy-vehicle movements required careful sequencing to keep the yard operating safely during construction.
• Tight delivery window: The works were programmed between September to November, with limited scope for weather and supply variations.
• Drainage and levels: Precise falls were essential to ensure proper drainage and to avoid ponding across a large slab footprint.
• Quality controls at scale: Consistent finish and performance across multiple pours and pour breaks.

• Staged construction management: We developed a pour plan that maintained access routes, with clear exclusion zones and a live traffic management plan to keep operations moving safely.
• Supply coordination: Batch timings and truck cycles were scheduled to suit the pour sequence, reducing wait times and keeping finishing on pace.
• Level control & drainage: String-line/laser level control, systematic screeding and diligent edge checks ensured specified falls and uniform slab thickness.
• Curing & early-age protection: Membrane curing and controlled stages were executed to manage shrinkage and support long-term durability.
