Big Wheels Service Pits
Project Description
The construction of the new 1.4m deep service pits for heavy vehicle servicing required demolition, bulk excavation, formwork, and supply and place of concrete. This project was carried out in Crestmead in May 2021.
What were the challenges?
We were required to work around normal business operations. We also had to program works around other trades in order to get services through to the pits where required.
How did Terazzo solve these challenges?
Careful planning and clear communication of our program was key to ensuring we were working efficiently at all times.
Project Result
After this successful project the Terazzo team is currently completing another pit for the same client at Rocklea. The client has also asked Terazzo to quote as principle project contractor for pit construction at their clients’ facilities around Australia.
